See what a domain really resolves to

Traditional public DNS hides where an answer came from. LiteDNS exposes both the China and overseas vantage as explicit parameters, so you can compare results instead of guessing.

Two deterministic vantage points

Choose region=cn or region=us on every request. No GeoDNS guessing and no cross-region fallback: the answer always reflects the region you asked for.

Provenance on every answer

JSON responses include the executing region, the upstream that answered, cache state and latency. DoH exposes the same signals through X-LiteDNS-* headers.

Standard DoH clients welcome

Firefox, Chrome, Edge, iOS and macOS configuration profiles work with the RFC 8484 endpoint. Android Private DNS is explicitly unsupported because it only accepts a hostname.

Account-level quotas

Quota belongs to the account, not to individual keys. Multiple keys share one allowance, and JSON plus DoH traffic is counted together.

Quick start

Create an API key in the console, then query the JSON API or point a DoH client at your keyed URL.

Replace YOUR_KEY with a key issued in the console. The free tier allows 60 requests per minute.

JSON
curl -s https://dns.litelake.cn/api/open/resolve \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"domain":"example.com","type":"A","region":"cn"}'
DoH
curl -s -H "Accept: application/dns-message" \
  "https://dns.litelake.cn/api/open/doh/cn/YOUR_KEY?dns=AAABAAABAAAAAAAAA3d3dwdleGFtcGxlA2NvbQAAAQAB"

Built for scripts and agents

The JSON API returns a stable response envelope, while DoH speaks the standard wire format. Both endpoints share the same key and quota.

Start free, upgrade when you need headroom

The free tier is designed for evaluation. Pro adds a much higher per-second allowance for production crawlers and monitoring.
